So I have been on a bit of a hiatus from the blogging world due to a very demanding job with a NZ designer, but I have a bit more free time now so I'm back! I stumbled across some of these art works when I was doing some research for work and had to share them (there may be a bit of an animal theme). I love how accessible art is these days and how varied, intelligent and interesting it is. Again, these are all from Etsy, the perfect place for original, one-of-a-kind things!

Seconds of Style #2: A Very Simple Triptych
Making your walls look gorgeous doesn't have to break the bank, especially if it is for a baby's room. With a brand new nephew I decided to make some cute and original artwork for his nursery. I started out with the idea to paint silhouettes of nursery rhyme characters using complimentary colours.
I ended up just choosing cute childlike images found online. I bought three canvases, 25 x 25cm for $2 each and used paints and brushes that I already had. I chose three colours and intermixed them for images and backgrounds.
The result is simple, colourful and fun - and the best part, it only cost me $6!
